WHAT IF ADULTS CRIED LIKE BABIES IN PUBLIC?
WHAT IF ADULTS CRIED LIKE BABIES IN PUBLIC?
When I was at my local Trader Joe's in Scarsdale last Sunday, a cute kid, 2 or 3ish, was riding in the top part of the shopping cart (I always want to do that) and zoomed by crying loudly with a downturned mouth sad face. It made me think about how babies vs. adults express themselves.
Should adults be crying out more?
Do we really wish we could just cry when things suck?
Would you want to just clunk them on the head and tell them to shut the f up if they did?
Would it create madness all around us?
Or would it create sympathy towards people who are hurting?
I had a vision of half of the store stopped in their tracks just letting themselves wail.
Chaos doesn't make for easy solutions so if everyone started screeching and wailing at once, that'd be a mess.
It made me wonder if we still have all those same intense emotions inside us as adults but we've learned no one really cares any more and they'll just want to clunk you on the head for making so much noise.
Babies demand attention when they cry out.
I know little about babies but I'm fascinated by human behavior.
Food for thought. Penny for your thoughts?
