Everyone's got a distinct personality, even if you're shy. There are things that are uniquely you. Clothing's a fantastic way to embrace who you are. Your wardrobe lets you feel good throughout the day, shows people a little bit about you and introduces you in the way you choose. So let's get to it.
Do you own plenty of things but often feel like you've “got nothing to wear?” Or do you just feel that you've got no real direction in what you put on that says a little about you? Both are common! Here's how to fix that.
Create your go-to wardrobe
Around six years ago, I realized that I couldn't spend time every morning figuring out what to wear. I've got a wardrobe I love and it's largely filled with things I wouldn't hang around in the house wearing (although sometimes at night, I'll put on something fancy at home and it's so much fun). For me, a lightbulb went off that “jeans + a tank” were my perfect go-to daily outfit. Not just any old jeans or any old tank either. Jeans that fit, feel and look great. Tanks in luscious colors, super soft cotton and a sexy cut that makes me feel like I can move. Pop a sweater or jacket over it when needed and I can run out the door or sit at the computer.
Voila. End of morning "what to wear" issue.
It can be totally different items for you. If you go to an office, it could be a suit you can rely on to always feel and look good. Depending on the climate you're in, it could be different layers. But the principle is key.
BTW, this principle works in other areas of your life too where figuring out a reliable system clears your mind to focus on other things and opens up whole new worlds. See the EmbodyFocus Life Success Systems for more on that topic.
This applies equally to men and women. It works for kids too. I'll help you figure out your perfect essential formula and you'll never waste time wondering what to wear again.
